How to Fix Do Not Disturb Not Working on iPhone
1. Change Contact Status Like recurring calls, your "favorite" contacts and app pdf scanner iphone can also override your iPhone's Do Not Disturb settings. Adding a contact to favorites on iPhone means that a person can contact you (by calling or texting) at any time of the day or night, even if Do Not Disturb is turned on.
So if you get a call from a random contact while Do Not Disturb is on, check that you didn't accidentally like the contact. Follow the steps below to check your favorite contacts on your iPhone or iPad. We will also show you how to remove a contact from favorites. 1) Open the Phone app and tap Favorites in the lower left corner. Check the contact list and find strange/unknown contacts. 2) Tap Edit in the upper right corner to remove a contact from favorites. 3) Click the red minus button (—). 4) Finally, click Delete to remove the contact from the list and click Done to save the change.
2. Change Incoming Calls Does iPhone or iPad not mute incoming calls when Do Not Disturb is active? This could be because you have set Do Not Disturb to allow all incoming calls. Open Do not disturb settings and tap on Allow calls. Make sure you set it to Favorites or None. You can select All Contacts if you only want calls from unknown numbers in Do Not Disturb mode.
3. Restart iPhone Restarting your device is a tried and trusted solution for many strange iOS problems. If Do Not Disturb is still not working on your iPhone, turn it off and back on after a few seconds. Also, make sure Do Not Disturb is enabled and set correctly to your preferences.
4. Reset all settings Do not disturb should only silence calls, texts and other app notifications. Your alarms and reminders will not be silenced. Surprisingly, we found reports from some iPhone users that Do Not Disturb sometimes messes up notifications and sounds.
If this describes your current situation, try resetting your device. This will reset your device settings (network, widgets, notifications, etc.) to factory settings. Note that the warnings will be removed. Note. Restoring your iPhone or iPad does not delete media files or documents. Go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset all settings and enter your phone password to continue.
This will take about 3-5 minutes during which your device will shut down and restart. After that, activate the Do Not Disturb feature and create a fake alarm. Now check if the alarm sounds at the specified time.
